テーマ：韓国・ニュージーランド・イタリアの保育者・教員養成における現状と課題
クリスティナ・ストリンガー氏（イタリア国立政策研究所）、サンドラ・コリンズ氏（ニュージーランド教育評価局）、ムギョン・ムーン氏（韓国国立保育教育研究所）

 

ストリンガー氏からは「イタリアにおける保育者に必要な能力」、コリンズ氏からは「ニュージーランドにおけるECEシステム、保育者資格、移行」、ムーン氏からは「韓国における教員・保育者養成制度について」という演題で講演があり、それぞれの国の保育・幼児教育者養成の制度と教員資格、幼児教育と初等教育の接続についてお話しいただきました。

講演後には、会場を交えた質疑応答を通して活発な議論が行われ、日本を含めた四つの国それぞれの保育・幼児教育の特徴を浮き彫りにすることができました。

各国による入園・就学年齢、保育者・教員資格取得カリキュラムについて違いはあるものの、子どもたちを眼差す保育者・幼児教育者の姿は、所変われど、共通しているということにあらためて気づかされる時間となりました。

なお、国際シンポジウムには、児童教育学科学生が多数参加し、4号館102教室空間を熱気で包みました。

 

An international symposium was held, planned and moderated by Professor Riyo Kadota of the Division of Child Education.

“Current Status and Challenges in Early Childhood and Teacher Education in Korea, New Zealand, and Italy”

Speakers:
Dr. Cristina Stringer (Italian National Institute for Policy Studies)
Ms. Sandra Collins (New Zealand Education Review Office)
Dr. Mugyeong Moon (Korean National Institute of Early Childhood Education)

Dr. Stringer delivered a lecture titled "ECEC Teacher Qualifications & Children's Transitions in Italy." Ms. Collins presented on the topic of "ECE system, qualifications, and transitions in New Zealand," while Dr. Moon presented on "ECEC Systems and Teacher Qualifications in Korea." Each speaker provided a comprehensive overview of the training systems for early childhood and school educators, the qualifications required of teachers, and the connections between early childhood education and elementary education within their respective countries.

Following the lectures, an active discussion was held involving the audience, highlighting the distinctive features of early childhood education and care across the four countries, including Japan.

Though differences exist in the age of entry into preschool or school and in the curricula for qualifying educators and teachers, participants recognized that the perspectives and dedication of those who care for children are fundamentally shared, regardless of geographical location.

The Division of Child Education's students made up a significant portion of the audience at the symposium, contributing to the lively atmosphere in Room 102 of Building 4.
