Pursuing Truth with Others in Personal Connections and Aiming to “Work Together for the Truth”

Theology is an ancient discipline. In fact, it is a thousand years older than the first universities that were established during the Middle Ages in Europe. The purpose of this division is to explore and learn new aspects of theology with fellow students.

Modern society is becoming even more complicated, and many difficult issues are accumulating. In such circumstances, it may seem vastly circuitous and unrealistic to explore the truth testified by the Bible and be guided by its light to consider the challenges that face the Church and the modern world. However, it is our conviction that this is the closest and most certain path, because it is none other than human beings who ultimately discover the way to solve society’s problems and assign some form of structure to them. Moreover, leadership that is sought of highly specialized professionals is inseparable from the growth of human strengths and virtues.

The master’s program curriculum consists of the following four stages: (1) foundation classes, (2) intermediate classes, (3) practical training classes, and (4) research guidance (completion of the master’s thesis). In particular, multiple faculty members work with each student to enable learning through repeated dialogue within personal connections among colleagues who “work together for the truth” (3 John 8). It is our prayer and hope that in this way, a firm foundation will be laid for students to stand as faithful witnesses and be sent out into the world.
