今年は、懇親会の前に「仕事につながる・つなげる留学」と 題して、次の2名の方に講演を行っていただきました。2004期、文学部英文学科卒: 2002-2003 サン・ディエゴ州立大学に派遣留学 2004期、文学部外国語学科英語専攻卒: 2002-2003 ボルドー・ビジネス・スクールに派遣留学お2人とも、派遣留学、大学院留学を経て、マスコミ業界で ご活躍されていますが、留学経験をどのようにその後の進路と 結びつけられたか、留学経験が現在どのように生かされているか、 などをお話していただきました。
今年も、8月から出発する2013-2014年度派遣留学生に参加を 呼びかけ、元交換留学生の皆様のご経験を聞かせていただいたり、 アドバイスを頂戴できました。皆様のご参加に心より感謝します。

[The SIFA and Seinan Gakuin University's Office of Center for International Education co-hosted "The Seinan Gakuin University International Exchange Program 30th Anniversary: SIFA Forum 2002" and a Banquet in Fukuoka JAPAN, on August 10th, 2002. The event was a tremendous success, which we owe to those SIFA members and non-members who participated.]
- この30周年記念行事は次の三つの30周年を記念するものです：1971-2001年 (交換留学生派遣制度), 1973-2003年 (留学生別科交換留学生受け入れ制度)，そして 1972-2002年 (SIFA)．
[The 0th anniversary of international exchange at Seinan applies to the following thirty-year periods: 1971-2001 (for the Japanese SIFA members), 1973-2003 (for the international members, who completed the International Division program), and 1972-2002 (for the SIFA organization).]- 同フォーラムをJ-COMブロードバンド福岡（旧CV21）（ケーブルテレビ） に取材していただきました。 扱いは5分という長さのニュース的なもので、放送の期間及び時間は下記の通りです。

「FUN2あらかると」という番組内で、SIFAの部分はだいたい毎時20分頃になる予定です。１日４回、計２６回も放送されますので、福岡市内にお住まいでJ-COMブロー ドバンド福岡にご加入の方は、是非ご覧になって下さい。 （このすばらしい取材アレンジメントは小坂さん（William Jewell College，87-88，旧姓：川崎さん）のご尽力によるものです．）
[There was a shooting at the forum by J-COM BROADBAND FUKUOKA (CableTV). Although the forum is not fully covered, the SIFA part should be about as long as five minutes and it's been scheduled to be aired from Aug 16 to 22 on J-COM Fukuoka. The name of the program is FUN2 A LA CARTE, repeats 4 times a day (8:00, 13:00-mon thr fri, 18:00, 22:00), 26 times in all. - Three members discussed how we will proceed at the SIFA Forum 2002 for the 30th anniversary of international exchange at Seinan.
- Six members discussed the idea of celebrating the 30th anniversary of international exchange as SIFA's occasion. We eventually came to like ideas 1 and 5 as described in "the list of insights:" see above for details. (Here are the photo opportunities we enjoyed at the meeting and the dinner.)
- In Fukuoka: Eight members got together, sharing the good memories here at Seinan and at Seinan's partner foreign institutions. The photos are here.
- Nine members enjoyed each other's company over a dinner.

- Fifty members attended the reunion, enjoying each other's company. University President and the previous and present administrative heads of the Center for International Education were also with us to celebrate the thirty years of international exchange at Seinan Gakuin University. Members' live performances, like short stage play and romantic singing, and serious speeches on their recent social achievement did excite and impress us all there at the reunion meeting. Mr. Akira Miyahara (SUNY, Oneonta, 1976-77) was named Vice President of the SIFA; see Membership for the new SIFA's Executive Committe.

- This was the very first member reunion gathering.
- The then administrative staff of the Office for International Exchange (国際交流事務室), particularly, Mr. Shinozaki, Mr. Ohnishi and Ms. Koga, helped us hold this reunion. Their efforts put forth toward its success is genuinely appreciated.
