To hold "SIFA Forum 2002: International Exchange at Seinan" in the summer of 2002, where we gather in appreciation of all Seinan did for us and discuss what we can do for Seinan. 2. To have SIFA meetings on a regular basis, like monthly or quarterly, where we former exchange students meet and exchange ideas about selected topics or issues with current International-Division students and current Japanese students who have just returned from their one-year exchange program abroad in the spring. 3. To create the SIFA Directory Database (SDD) which is as complete as possible. (This is a project which would take a year or much longer.) The SDD is now available to you in the Excel format: it contains a full list of every member's name and alma mater (for the years from "1971-72" through "2000-01"), along with her or his mailing/e-mail address so far updated. The SDD is, however, far from complete in that there are still quite a few mailing/e-mail addresses not known. Your support and help is indispensable to find out those yet unknown addresses. (One possbile way to help might be to contact your member-friends and ask them to click on the link "Update Your Address" on the top page of the SIFA Web site.) 4. To publish a book and to display photo panels recording and exhibiting thirty-year history of international exchange at Seinan. 5. To hold commemorative symposium, forum, panel discussion, and banquet afterwards. 6. To provide commemorative lectures and seminars for the citizens of Fukuoka and the neighboring towns. 7. To offer senior high school students opportunity for short-period program of study at high schools in towns abroad where Seinan's partner institutions are located. 8. To invite Seinan's partner institutions' orchestras and chorus here for their concerts. 9. To organize SIFA-member volunteer groups aiming at promoting international exchange. 10. To accomodate international SIFA members participating in the 30th anniv. events in Japan. --- Ideas 4 through 10 above are detailed in Japanese as follows: ３０周年イベントに関し、予算があるのか、大学から 補助金がでるのか、寄付を募るのか、又それらがあると したら幾らくらいなのか、がわからないので、それらをまず 全く考慮に入れず考えました。ので、中には的外れなものも あるかもしれませんが、ブレインストーミングということで お許し下さい。また、３０周年にかかわらず、SIFAの 組織化が進むにつれ、いずれかの時点でファンドレイジングの 必要性が出ると思われますので、そういうことも念頭において アイディア出しをしてみました。 4. 西南学院大学の国際交流３０年の歩み（編纂書籍の出版・パネル展示など） 場所の候補 ＝ 学内、学外（有料貸スペースになるだろうが 学内に設置するより多くの来場者数が見込める）、 ネット上（無料・上２つとの併設可能） 5. 記念シンポ、フォーラム、パネルディスカッション 仮題『これからの大学の国際交流に果たす役割』 パネラー ＝ 先生方、ゲスト（学外者や著名人）、 西南やSIFAのOB・OG このイベント後のレセプション・交流会 場所 ＝ ホテル、学内、レストラン、あるいは4の 設置場所にて 料金 ＝ 場所に応じて設定 料金の一部を寄付として徴収する 6a. 市民大学（記念レクチャー １講師又は複数講師による○回シリーズ） メインテーマ ＝ 国際交流、英語 参加者 ＝ 西南現役生・OB・OGや西南関係者（を優先？）、一般（有料？） 場所 ＝ どこでも 講師 ＝ 西南の先生方 → 地元ケーブルテレビ局に番組製作、放送の企画を持込み依頼する 6b. 記念セミナー（SIFAのOB・OG） 形態 ＝ ２泊３日などの旅行形式、交流、親睦、 国際交流啓発が主目的 宿泊を発生させたくない場合は、 学内での一日セミナー（その後レセプション） 参加費 ＝ 形態に見合った金額 料金へはSIFAへの寄付も含める 場所 ＝ 国内／セミナーが開け、宿泊出来る場所 国外／・グアム・ハワイなど、アメリカからも出席 しやすいようアメリカとの中間地点 ・提携大学巡りの親善ツアー ＊誰かから提案があったように、夏休みだと 家族ぐるみなどで参加しやすい ＊以前ネットで調べものしている時に見つけた、AFSかなんかの留学 組織がやはり何十周年かの記念で、参加者を募りクイーンエリザ ベスII号の大西洋横断クルーズに参加した、という記事に ヒントを得ました。（＜これはちょっとお高いんで無理ですが。。） 7. 体験短期留学（高校生向け） 参加希望者を募る → 西南の提携大学（１ケ所又は２ケ所位）のある街の高校への 夏休み期間中の短期留学（２週間程） 語学研修外の目的 ＝ 西南の国際交流や 提携先の大学について知ってもらう 参加費 ＝ 形態に見合った金額 8. 提携先大学の海外コンサートなどの誘致 → オーケストラや合唱など、海外コンサートをこなす組織が あると思います。そういうことをこなす組織は、既に来年の 催し場所（国）は決めているかもしれませんが、あたって みるのも面白いかもしれません。 9. SIFA組織の多様化（３０周年を記念し、メンバーによる国際交流 ボランティアの組織化など） 10. イベント外アイディア ３０周年記念イベントに海外から参加したい人への宿泊提供 （簡易ホームステイ）など レセプションなどの料金にドネーションを含めるのは、 別仕立てでお願いするより、授受ともに抵抗がないように 思われるからです。料金の幾ら、或いは何割を寄付とするのかは ３０周年イベントの規模と予算によります。 これからSIFAをどのように発展させて行くかによっては、 大きな経費が見込まれるような局面も発生するかもしれません。 その場合は寄付として正面からお願いするしかない、のでは。 今回の３０周年がそれに当たるかどうかはわかりませんが。。。 例えば今回の件では、様々なイベントの計画から実施まで 動けるメンバー（この場合スタッフ）のボランティアに ほとんどを依存することになるでしょうが、イベントの 仕掛けや大きさによっては、スタッフは次第に経済的・ 時間的な負担を感じ出すかもしれません。そういう場合、 例えば交通費等（実費）を対価として支払うことには 動けないメンバーは何も不満を感じないことでしょう。 収支は、ネット上で公開すればよいと思われます。 ---
