Course Descpription 

The topics include:
 (a) the Japanese style of managerial decision-making, 

 (b) the history of the Japanese corporate activity
abroad:from the Meiji period to the pre-WW II; post-WW II
(the 1950s, the 1960s, the 1970s, the 1980s, and the
1990s),

 (c) the reasons for the Japanese firms conducting the
business abroad,

 (d) case study on how successfully the Japanese style of
managerial decision-making has been implemented abroad:
automobile industry. The financial analysis of Honda, etc. 
will also be included.

 (e) Whereever needed, the World Wide Web homepages of the
Japanese firms, such as Canon and Toyota, will be studied
to check on their most recent, both financial and
