Students participating in the exchange program are selected by their home institutions to complete a semester or one year of undergraduate study at the International Division of Seinan Gakuin University. Non-English speakers are required to have proficiency in English to understand the classes taught in English. However, proficiency in Japanese is not required for admission.

The following schedule shows the normal procedures for accepting students from abroad in August. Incoming student should follow the required process according to this schedule in order to arrive at Fukuoka by middle August. (Schedules are subject to change in accordance with the 2013-2014 academic calendar to be finalized in March.)

July	The following will be sent to your institution: -Official Letter of Admission -Letter of Guarantee -Certificate of Eligibility (visa document which will be issued by the Japanese　Ministry of Justice) Notification to CIE of your arrival date (by the end of July)
August	(Specific date of the events to be determined later) Arrival in Fukuoka (Seinan student groups will pick you up at airport or station.) Opening Convocation Orientation Fall semester begins

2	APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION for Exchange students [PDF:119KB]

3	OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT OF GRADES
	Official transcripts (not a student copy) from each higher education institution which applicants enrolling must be submitted.

4	FINANCIAL STATEMENT
	Bank statement with official signature/seal must be submitted. It is important to show the Japanese immigration department that applicant has enough financial resources to stay for 10 months (for one semester only: 5 months). The fund must be evaluated in the actual currency that shows the equivalent amount of more than ¥800,000 (for one semester only: ¥400,000) in Japanese yen. In case the expense while in Japan will be partly or fully covered by any organizational fund, an official letter from the applicant's financial source should be attached. *This information given to the CIE will be strictly confidential and be only used for the applicant's admission and visa purposes, not to be used for any other purpose.

5	RECORD OF PREVIOUS JAPANESE STUDIES [PDF:56KB]
	In case the applicant has no history of studying Japanese, choose the answer "no".

6	PHYSICAL EXAMINATION RECORD [PDF:45KB]
	Medical report must be filled completely. If some items are left blank, the reexamination of those items will be required before enrollment in Seinan Gakuin University

7	STUDENT ACCOMMODATION APPLICATION FORM [PDF:152KB]
	Accommodation will be assigned to incoming students based upon the time and date the student accommodation application form is submitted. Although the form will be accepted by email and FAX, please send the original by mail. If the demand for each accommodation exceeds its capacity reserved for incoming students, you will be considered for the second, third or fourth choice.

9	COPY OF PASSPORT

10	4 PHOTOS (taken within two months)
	Attach 1 copy of 3 x 4.5-cm ID photo to the Application for Admission form Enclose 3 copies of 3 x 4.5-cm ID photo for visa purpose and for student ID card.
