a. Established as a joint concern with Western Electric, 54% of whose
caital was owned by WE. => Foreign-owned firm.
b. The very first joint business with a foreign firm in Japan.
c. Sold WE products imported.
d. Manufactured later such communications equipments as telephones,
telephone switch-board.
3. Terminated its capital link-up with its parent firm, International
Standard Electric (ISE), in 1941. (ISE was then the new name of WE.)
