5月24日に、ボルドーモンテーニュ大学（国際交流協定校 フランス）のLionel Larré学長が本学バークレー学長を表敬訪問しました。
　ボルドーモンテーニュ大学が所在するフランスのボルドー市と福岡市は、1982年に姉妹都市となり、今年で姉妹都市協定締結40周年を迎えました。この訪問は、両市の姉妹都市協定締結40周年記念式典への訪問団の一員としてLarré学長が来福されたことによって実現したものです。
　懇談の席では、G.W.バークレー学長が、Larré学長に心からの歓迎の意を伝え、これからの両大学の交流がさらに促進されるよう意見交換が行われました。　
　2020年からのコロナ禍の影響を受け、両大学の交流は一時途絶えていましたが、本学とボルドーモンテーニュ大学との更なる関係強化を確認する貴重な時間となりました。

　On May 24, President G.W. Berkeley received a courtesy visit from President Lionel Larré from Université Bordeaux Montaigne, France, an institution that has an international exchange agreement with Seinan Gakuin University.
　This year, the cities of Fukuoka and Bordeaux (where Université Bordeaux Montaigne is located) celebrate 40 years of friendship as sister cities. President Larré came to Fukuoka as a member of a delegation to the 40th-anniversary ceremony of the sister city agreement between Bordeaux and Fukuoka. During this time, President Larré had an opportunity of being able to pay a courtesy visit to the Seinan campus.
　President Berkeley expressed his sincere welcome to Seinan Gakuin University and exchanged ideas with President Larré to promote more exchange opportunities between the two universities in the future.
　Although the exchange opportunities between the two universities have been temporarily suspended due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic since 2020, it was a valuable time to confirm both institutions’ desires to further strengthen the relationship between one another.
