Seinan Gakuin Junior- Senior High School

A six-year integrated junior-senior high school program based upon Christian principles with an outstanding record for students advancing to higher education.

Seinan Gakuin junior and senior high schools, among the oldest private schools in the Fukuoka area, have long and illustrious histories in offering high quality education based upon the Christian faith. In 1996 the two separate schools for boys only became one integrated, six-year coeducational junior-senior high school. In 2003 the school moved to the new campus in Momochihama. In these bright and attractive facilities, students are encouraged to develop their individuality, hone their talents, and broaden their capabilities.

With the goal of developing "strong, warm-hearted children of the Light," Maizuru Kindergarten, founded in 1913 as the first Christian kinder-garten in Fukuoka and then becoming part of Seinan Gakuin in 1950, encourages learning through contact with the earth, water, and plants in outside play alongside their class-mates. On the basis of its Christian underpinnings, the kindergarten has a long history of integrated education to include physically challenged children.
